Mr. Athanasios Liagkos has served as Deputy Chairman, Deputy CEO and Member of the Board of Directors of PPA S.A. He was a member of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund as a coordinator of the Public Ports and Marines Strategy, also served as Chief Executive in banks, financial institutions and large enterprises in Greece and abroad, as well as BoD Member in their company groups and Port Authorities. He has an extensive expertise in matters of corporate strategic analysis and corporate governance. He studied economics at the University of Athens and holds an MBA postgraduate degree. He is a Member of the Economic Chamber of the Association of Chief Executives.
Mr. Boris Wenzel is a seasoned CEO with strong focus on strategy and change-management. Twenty years’ experience in senior leadership positions in Asia and Europe backed by early experience as a turn-around specialist and proven track record in building successful teams and creating shareholder value. Multi-industry, multi-company and multi-continent experience in diverse cultural environments and solid experience representing interests of financial institutions & PE type investors. Passionate communicator able to build trust and to convince stakeholders to envision and support important transformations of the business or of the industry.
Extensive negotiation and lobbying experience dealing at the top governmental levels in Europe, Asia, and South America, as well as EU institutions.

Mr. Artur Davidian is the Chief Investment Officer & Executive Member of the BoD of Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (ThPA). He has bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. in Finance from Rostov State Economy University and, MBA from University of Oxford. He has over 20 years’ managerial experience, and significant expertise in corporate management & development, investments and international operation. He has undertaken his current position since September, 2018. He is really committed to obtaining an integrated approach and transnational perspective for ThPA S.A., through the implementation of a specialized Investment Program, and also to the enhancement of the Port as the main Gateway Port of Southeastern Europe.
Mr. Alexander- Wilhelm Von Mellenthin is a Managing Partner of the principal Investment Group Deutsche Invest Capital Partners GmbH (DICP), as well as Managing Partner of Deutsche Invest Equity Partners (DIEP). With DICP, Alexander and his partners set forth all prior investment activities within the international advisory firm Goetz partners, where he was a Member of the Board as the Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director of Goetz partners holding and several group companies. Earlier, he advised the federal German privatization agency (Treuhandanstalt) and started his career as an auditor at KPMG. He holds a master’s degree in business administration and studied at the University of Goettingen. He has completed his state examination as a German certified tax advisor.
Mr. Sotirios Theofanis serves until June 30, 2020 as Chairman of the BoD and Managing Director of ThPA SA. He has been in the past Expert and Deputy Director for Ports in the Ministry of Merchant Marine, Managing Director of ThPA SA (1999 – 2002) and Chairman of the BoD and Managing Director of Piraeus Port Authority SA (2002 – 2004). He has also been Director of the Freight and Maritime Program (FMP) at CAIT, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA, where currently serves as Senior Research Fellow. He is President of the EXANTAS National Port Training Institute and Member of the Executive Committee of ESPO. He has extended Academic – Research Record in the fields of Ports, Logistics and Freight Transport and he serves as Visiting Professor / Scholar in many Academic Institutions worldwide. He holds a Degree in Civil Engineering, NTUA and graduate and doctoral degrees in the fields of Environment, Port Management and Container Logistics.
Dr. Angelos F. Vlachos is a tourism policy expert; BA and PhD / Univ. of Athens; MA Univ. of Sussex. Researcher (later Team Head) at the Foundation of the Hellenic World (FHW) dealing with Greek Culture and History at the Web and various cultural projects (1996-2002). His research activities concern the history of organized travel, tourism policy, sustainable development, and facets of 20th c. social and economic history. He has published extensively in academic journals, et al. His last book “Tourism Development and Public Policies in Modern Greece)", (Athens: 2016), highlights the state's role in the emergence of tourism as a cardinal political-economic venture in 20th c. Greece. After 2004, he moved in the tourism industry and later in the Greek Ministry of Tourism as Senior Policy Consultant focusing on various issues and then as Ηead of Office for Parliamentary Affairs. During 2010, he was named Director of the Greek National Tourism Organization Offices in China (Beijing/Shanghai). Between 2012-2013, a cruise company assigned him for setting up its edu-tainment strategy, while also contributing to a tv-series as Production Director.At 2014, he initiated a European co-funded research scheme (PPP Project) focusing on urban geography; right after, he coordinated an extended academic team setting up the Sustainable Tourism Observatory. Currently he is lecturing at the Tourism Dept of the University of Piraeus and also at the Hellenic Open University.Since 2016, he serves as a BoD member of Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), coordinating the Seaplanes licensing Project; meanwhile, he represents the Greek Public/HRADF as a BoD member at the -privatized- ThPA, as a Fund Manager charged with the Concession Agreement’s implementation and also participating at the Audit Committee of the Company.
Mr. Baiqiao (Leon) Fu was expatriated by China Merchants Port Group as Financial Controller in Terminal Link, holds a master’s degree, and has 10 years’ experience of specializing in financial management, consolidation reporting, financial modeling & analysis. Previously worked for the Headquarter of China Merchants Port Group in Shenzhen of China and Colombo International Container Terminal in Colombo of Sri Lanka.
Mr. Panagiotis Alevras is a senior executive with 30 years of experience. Served as CEO of Olympic Handling, senior manager of Athens International Airport and project manager for the Athens 2004 Olympic & Paralympic Games. His involvement on airport Greenfield and expansion projects helped him earn senior leadership, management capability, operational and technical proficiency. Senior/project manager on airport infrastructure and development projects, including the concession of the 14 Greek regional airports, the preparation of the bid for the New Heraklion airport, and numerous assignments abroad (Kuwait, Vietnam, Belgium, Russia, UK, UAE, Albania and Germany). Visiting Lecturer at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Mr. Panagiotis Michalopoulos is an Architect Engineer, member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1984. Graduate of the School of Architecture of the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Regional Planning of the School of Rural & Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University Athens and holder of the Certificate for the 2018 C-Blue Training Program of CMPort and Shanghai Maritime University. He has been working since 1984 as a freelancer, designer, and supervising engineer with more than thirty-five years of experience in design, study, supervision, and construction of buildings, in the functional design of spaces and organization of construction sites. His business activity includes the establishment and operation for thirteen years as a partner and manager of the publishing-advertising-construction company Eurodiastasi Ltd. He has served in organizations in senior management positions. In the period 2005-2011, as an architect in the Prefect’s Office and responsible for the design and operation of the Cultural Center "Polychoros Apollon" of the Prefecture of Piraeus. He served as Deputy Commander and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Special Anticancer Hospital "METAXA" in Piraeus from 17/10/2011 to 27/12/2013. From 2008 to 2010, as a representative of SADAS-PEA he participated as a Regular Member in the Town Planning and Architectural Control Committee of Piraeus Town Planning. From 2005 to 2010 he participated in the supporting work for the Administrative and Educational Staff members at the Department of Geography and Regional Planning of the School of Rural & Surveying Engineering of National Technical University of Athens. From 23/03/2018 until today he participates as an independent member and Chairman of the Audit Committee in the Board of Directors of the Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA) S.A.. He has written and participated as a leader of editing, writing, designing, and publishing more than eighteen books on European Travelers and Greek culture, with an emphasis on architecture and the ports of Mediterranean, which have been deposited in Bibliotheca Alexandrina (International Library of Alexandria). His work has received international recognition and he has been honored for his contribution by numerous agencies. From 1984 he is a member of Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and of Greek Architects Association (SADAS-PEA). He also participated as a member in associations, cultural institutions, and Chambers of Commerce.
