A delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, specifically the Regional Chamber of Rasina, headquartered in the city of Kruševac, visited ThPA S.A. yesterday, Thursday, March 12, 2026, as part of initiatives by the Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki to strengthen commercial cooperation between Northern Greece and Serbia.
The delegation consisted of Mr. Predrag Vukicevic, Advisor to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Ms. Maja Markovits, Managing Director of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rasina, Ms. Aleksandra Aleksic, Industry Coordinator of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rasina, as well as Mr. Nikolaos Sliousaregko, President of the Management Board of the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia. The delegation was accompanied by the President of the Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki, Mr. Makarios Papadopoulos, along with executives, while the meeting was attended by the CEO of ThPA S.A., Dr. Ioannis Tsaras, as well as other executives.
During the meeting, the economic potential of the Rasina Region was presented, highlighting its strong industrial, agri-food, and manufacturing sectors, as well as significant prospects for the development of commercial and production partnerships with the broader Thessaloniki area. At the same time, the importance of connecting Serbia’s production centers with the Port of Thessaloniki was discussed, as bilateral trade continues to show steady growth.
The delegation was informed about the investments and initiatives of ThPA S.A. aimed at upgrading the infrastructure and services of the Port of Thessaloniki, with the Pier 6 expansion serving as a flagship project. In this context, the role of the Port of Thessaloniki as a key transit hub for Serbia and Southeast Europe was highlighted.
