«Thessaloniki Port Authority S.A.» (ThPA S.A.), following the announcement of 21.02.2025 regarding the cancellation of the tender for the acquisition of the majority stake in «Volos Port Authority S.A.», in which it had been declared the Preferred Investor, announces the following:
Following an appeal by ThPA S.A. before the Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority (H.S.P.P.A.) and the Council of State against the cancellation of the tender procedure for issues of notification and legality of the justification, the Council of State, with its decision no. 869/2026, vindicated ThPA S.A. Specifically, the Council of State ruled that ThPA S.A. became aware of the reasoning for the first time in the context of the examination of the preliminary appeal it had filed due to the lack of prior notification of the relevant cancellation decision.
The case is hence referred to H.S.P.P.A., to examine in essence the reasons that have been raised against the cancellation of the tender procedure.
