The port joins the event’s race routes, strengthening its connection with the city and its people.

This year, the Port of Thessaloniki becomes part of the route of the 14th International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon – ZeniΘ, taking place on Saturday, 17 October 2026, with ThPA S.A. participating as an Institutional Supporter of the event. For the first time, the port’s premises are included in the race routes. The 5km Health and Power Walking Race and the 1-Mile Race will start on Averof Street, within the port, while participants in the Half Marathon and the 10km race will pass through ThPA’s premises shortly before crossing the finish line at Aristotelous Square.

This year’s event allows thousands of runners and visitors to discover another part of the Port of Thessaloniki, highlighting its longstanding ties to the city’s history, development and everyday life. ThPA S.A.’s involvement also goes beyond institutional support, as the ThPA Running Team will once again take part in the various races, continuing the active participation of the company’s employees in the event. Since 2012, the International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon has grown into one of Greece’s best-known running events, attracting thousands of participants from Greece and abroad every year. Supporting the event reflects ThPA S.A.’s longstanding commitment to strengthening the port’s ties with the community through initiatives that encourage participation, openness and social contribution.

Commenting on ThPA S.A.’s participation in this year’s event, Ms Angeliki Samara, Chair of the Board of Directors of ThPA S.A., stated:
“Every race is an opportunity to push our limits, make progress and work together. For ThPA S.A., taking part in the International Thessaloniki Half Marathon puts into practice our belief that sport has the power to inspire, unite and mobilise society. At the same time, an event of international standing showcases Thessaloniki’s potential and strengthens a sense of participation and shared vision.

For us, the port’s growth and outward-looking approach go hand in hand with Thessaloniki’s progress and prosperity. Our aim is a port that develops and modernises alongside the city, remaining welcoming, active and close to its people. With this in mind, we support initiatives that promote participation, wellbeing and shared progress, actively contributing to the social life of Northern Greece.

Because success is measured not only by the distance we cover, but also by the positive impact we leave behind.”

Mr Nikos Konstantinidis, President of MEAS TRITON, the club organising the event, stated:
“We welcome ThPA S.A. to the family of the 14th International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon – ZeniΘ as an Institutional Supporter. This year, the Night Half Marathon returns to the heart of the city, with a distinctive feature along its route: it passes through the Port of Thessaloniki. ThPA is a key supporter of the event, and we warmly thank the company for opening the port’s gates to it and for consistently supporting major events in the city and those organised by MEAS TRITON. Picture the runners on the final stretch of the route passing through the port, taking in the illuminated old port of Thessaloniki before emerging onto Nikis Avenue and heading towards the finish line at Aristotelous Square, with the White Tower in the background. Since 2012, the Night Half Marathon has grown through partnerships with organisations that share the same vision: an open, outward-looking and united Thessaloniki. On Saturday, 17 October, the city and its port will run together.”
