The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) conducted a follow-up security audit at ThPA S.A. from February 25 to 27, 2026, following the inspection carried out in February 2025 on the implementation of security measures and procedures at the Port of Thessaloniki, in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code), as well as Directive 205/65/EC on enhancing security in the wider area of the Port of Thessaloniki.

The follow-up audit of the security measures and procedures applied at the Port Facility and the wider area of the Commercial Port of Thessaloniki was carried out thoroughly by a three-member Delegation of European Inspectors on security issues of port facilities and ports, in the presence of the Director and the Head of the competent Directorate of Ship and Port Facilities Security Management (DEDAPLE) of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, and the Harbor Master of Thessaloniki.

The head of the Delegation expressed her satisfaction with the continuous implementation and expansion of best practices by ThPA S.A. at the European level, emphasizing the company’s full compliance with security requirements, thanks to its well-trained personnel and the high level of central administrative support provided by DEPAPLE.
